A warmWelcome to my website.
Introduction
I grew up in the Netherlands in a creative family, where spiritual growth and ritual exploration was encouraged. In our free time and over the weekends you could find us walking in the forest. Or reading books in our garden under the wisteria.
Classical ballet was my first love in the dance world, and my early childhood was spending mostly in the studio. After I watched a Lebanese belly dancer my dance world shifted like the desert sands. Belly dancing became one of the greatest passions of my life. See more about classes and workshops here: Dance classes
Always into movement no wonder that Yoga found its way to me via a library book, and after a long search I stated classes. If you like to know more about my yoga: Yoga & classes
I My storytelling interests began at school and I entered writing competitions with reading out of your own written work. These stories developed into entertaining my teen school friends in the buss while going on school outings. It wasn’t however until I had children of my own that one day the teacher of one of my sons asked if I could come to assembly and tell the Ancestral story of Boudicca. If you like to know more about my storytelling: Storytelling
In my teenage years I began to study Eastern and Western philosophies. This reflects in my life style and workshops. I travel as often as possible to the Maghreb, Egypt and the Middle-East to study the source and culture of this divine dance. I believe you never stop learning, and I keep on to broad my mind and my dance moves.
A friend encouraged me in 1990 to perform at a Midsummer’s party. From there on I have worked with restaurants, raves, festivals and museums. Playgroups, schools and ceremonial rites of passages take a special place in the heart of the dance for me.
I hold Yoga diploma’s for adults, pregnancy and children, reflexology and metamorphic massage. Also a reiki practitioner. I have a certificate in children's education, and am crb checked, and also have public liability insurance with performance direct. Life is a Magical dance-Ritual to love and experience.
